  1. Bike is great but back tire tube has popped multiple times in different places. The pops keep happening on the side (so it’s not like I’m poking it). Just whenever I take it over something particularly bumpy, a little tear appears and it rapidly deflates.

  2. Great entry fat bike, but tires need deeper treadThis bike is a good value for the money, and I would buy it again as a entry level fat bike for my child getting into fat biking with me. However it’s not perfect.1) assembly is not easy. If you don’t have experience assembling a bike it will be tough for you. After I assembled it, the shifting had to be adjusted quite a bit which someone unfamiliar with these adjustments would be totally lost. Same with the disc brakes rubbed badly and I had to adjust the placement of them.2) it is very heavy, just know that. Comes into play when transporting on a bike rack or climbing an incline, especially for a teen getting into biking.3) the fat tires are 4.0” wide which is nice, but the tread depth is not very deep. This translates to not the best grip on snowy trails. I’d say maybe half the depth of the tread knobs compared to what came on my Trek Farley fatty. My son slipped out and fell 3-4 times in areas I have grip for days on my bike. But new tires are very expensive, at least $100/tire, so upgrading tires on this price-point bike is hard to justify. If it came with knobbier tires it would be an extremely excellent entry snow bike!!4) it is very good looking and I’d recommend it for a cheap intro into fat biking. But be weary of the tires if you’re using it on groomed snow trails, but it’s cool!

  3. Good ValueWhen I purchased this bike, there were 3 models for Mongoose fat tire with similar prices: Malus, Dolomite and this one (Argus). I did a lot of research on all three models and Argus won in reviews and modernization of components. The bike arrived on time and well. Some assembly was required (Front fork and wheel, steering handle and seat) and had to center the front brake pads (googled video). The bike rides great, it brakes good and changes speeds accurately. The only missing star is due to the uncomfortable seat; I couldn’t ride it for more than 10min. I ended up buying a more comfortable seat on sale for $15.

  4. A decent entry-level fat bikeThis is a decent entry-level fat bike for the money and it does well in the snow, but there are some issues:1. The stock seat is reminiscent of the old BMX seats from the 1980’s, and very uncomfortable. It was the first thing to go. Also, the old-fashioned seat post has a hole in the top that lets water into the frame. I put a plastic plug in it for now, but will probably replace it at some point.2. The brakes are barely adequate, noisy, and needed adjustment before the bike could really be ridden. The front brake still makes an annoying dull clicking sound that I have not been able to make go away.3. The tires could be a little more generous with the tread depth, but again, this is an entry-level bike at the low end of the price range, so I get why the stock tires are what they are.

  5. Absolutely NOTHING to complain about!I originally wanted an Argus Sport but had trouble swallowing the price. I found this as a perfect compromise into the fatbike world without spending a ton of money. Well packaged and arrived in mint condition (no blemishes and no broken/missing parts) earlier than order info originally showed. Setup was quick & easy (maybe 20 minutes?). More time was spent on un-packaging than on assembly. Appears to be more than sturdy enough. Good clean frame welds. Coloring is gorgeous. I’m 5’11” and it fits perfectly. I suspect I may need to replace the seat with something more comfortable. Shipping weight was 53lbs, I’d estimate 5-10?lbs of that was the packaging. Will eventually end up converting this to an eBike.

  6. Awesome bikeLove the bike but hated the seat very uncomfortable but replaced it with a very comfortable one

  7. Fantastic bike and unbelievable valueI call myself a collector or a connoisseur of bikes but mostly fat tire bikes. This Argus St was especially hard to track down and took me a while to find one that was available. It’s a beautiful bike paint job is incredible. Obviously it’s a beginner style bike but it’s all the rage it is very upgradable. I think the paint job on this bike is the best one in the Mongoose line but more importantly this bike is a ton of fun

  8. Buy local if you canThe bicycle was super easy to assemble. Things that went wrong:1- Delivery driver left the box upside down, clearly the side on the ground was labeled this side UP2- The moment I moved the box I got a bad feeling. Parts inside were loose. I opened the box and some of the plastic covers were BENT and destroyed because the box was possibly laid flat. The box is clearly labeled DO NOT LAY FLAT.3. Gear derailleur is completely bent, again from the box being laid FLAT.4. Front caliper damaged due to being laid FLAT5. One pedal stud is cross threaded so I cannot install one of the pedals.Overall, a delivery from hell. Very disappointed and sad that I don’t get ride this weekend.
